It’s for yourself, if you give everything for yourself you’d be surprised that people will come to you.
Good human beings are naturally drawn to other humans who give their all into something. When you start valuing these people then wouldn’t you find your own value as well?

Sometimes I’ll read over past Q&A’s like this randomly and find something that is relevant to my life and that I need to see. Usually, they come from Kyo or Kaoru, but I won’t pretend the others don’t give good advice - because they do.
